Father Figure Tribute To Club
PNE have been thanked for standing out as a 'father figure' in the community.
Before the Bristol City match, the North West Fathers Network (NWFN) presented Andrea Troake, Community Development Manager at Preston North End with a father figure. The father figure is a symbol of the work that it is done by the NWFN.
The network was set up some five years ago by Sure Start Men's Workers from across the North West to promote work with fathers and their families. Their aim is to help fathers spend time with their children and families improving their education, health and welfare and in so doing help their children gain the best possible start in life.
The NWFC hold events throughout the North West and Sure Start Children's Centres are supporting father's groups in Preston and across the north West.
The events that the network have organised have been supported by Preston North End over previous years and it is with this in mind that Mike Turley and Dave Morrison have great pleasure in thanking Andrea and the Community Department for their outstanding support and generosity.
For more information regarding fathers groups please contact Mike or Dave on 07766 363386 or 07949 434076. Check out more of PNE's community work in PNE.com's dedicated community section.
