Preston North End stopper Andrew Lonergan stopped by at local school Holme Slack Primary this week to make a special delivery of 50 tickets provided by his sponsors TravelWise.

Lonergan is in his third year of being sponsored by TravelWise, a national campaign that encourages people to make better use of cars and promotes the use of public transport, cycling and walking. Lancashire County Council signed up to TravelWise in 1995.

The keeper made use of his time at the local primary school to sign autographs and answer a barrage of questions which ranged from, does he have another job (no, being the obvious answer) to how many clean sheets he has had this season (Lonners guessed at 13, he's actually had nine!).

Andrew is a Preston-born player and clearly went down well with everyone connected with the school. North End still have several player sponsorship opportunites available including Lewis Neal, Neal Trotman and Michael Hart and also coaching duo Billy Barr and David Timmins. Why not make a school or local club happy by sponsoring one of these players and in the process raise the profile of your business, speak to the Commercial Team now about all our sponsorship opportunities now on 01772 693310/11/04
