Neal Trotman paid a surprise visit to St Anthony's Primary School last Thursday afternoon as part of his player sponsorship deal with Barrow Financial Services.

The centre-half dropped by to say hello to all the pupils, sign a few autographs and answer a range of testing and unusual questions including "is it scary on the pitch?", "do you know my cousin Andrew Lonergan?" and "are you 13-years-old?"

John Barrow kindly donated Neal's yellow 'Trotman 21' shirt to the lucky Charlotte Kelly, whose name was picked out of a random draw to win the prestigious souvenir.

Speaking after the question and answer session, Trotman's sponsor Mr Barrow explained: "We are proud to sponsor Neal and we anticipate that he will have a long and successful career at Deepdale.

"We are delighted that he took the time to attend and the children were thrilled to meet a professional footballer who plays for Preston North End."
