Claude Davis headed off to the USA on Saturday night knowing he would have to pay extra baggage charges after collecting three trophies at the first CAST Supporters' Player of the Year Awards.

The Jamaican international headed to North Carolina for his country's clash with the States in midweek laded with awards after the hugely successful event, the first to be organised under the CAST (Club And Supporters Together) banner.

All the various Supporters' Groups came together to present their respective awards to the players at Preston Grasshoppers' Lightfoot Lane ground in a packed clubhouse, with 400 eager fans their to witness the event organised with help from the CAST committee and sponsors PNEProperty.com, the Lancashire Evening Post and LCC's Travelwise.

All the players were in attendance, with David Nugent having jetted back in from a short break to be there and he was one of the players to pick up an award on the night, although it was his Jamaican team-mate who went home with a car full of trophies!

The first award Claude collected was the PNEOSC Player of the Year award, with Richard Baker picking up the Youth Team Award from the Official Supporters Club.

Next up, Whites in Exile also presented an award, for the best performer away from Deepdale this season and they decided it should go to David Nugent, primarily for his two goals in what they described as our best win, away at Ipswich in August. The Yorkshire Supporters Group also chose the PNE No.4 as their top man of the season.

And finally, PSG presented Claude with his top award as well as giving David Nugent young player of the season.

Thanks go to the committee and the representatives of PSG, PNEOSC, PNEYSC, PNELSG, PNEDSA and Whites In Exile for their help and organisation of what was a superb event, enjoyed by all.
