'Wha's Like Us?' It's All Scottish To Us!

Graham Alexander returned from training with the Scotland squad this week, but he wasn't the only person to make the trek from Scotland to Preston.
Graham's sponsors Rob and Margaret Cooke from Ayr, braved the wintry conditions on Thursday, to head down the motorway to Longridge High School, to deliver tickets and meet Graham as part of their player sponsorship package.
Rob and Margaret, former 'Fans of the Year', are season ticket holders at Deepdale and travel down from Ayr for each home match and some away fixtures too.
Rob's great niece, Jessica, is a pupil at Longridge High School and that is why they decided to donate the 50 tickets they receive as part of the package to the school.
On arrival Graham was taken to Jessica's classroom where he was met with a rousing rendition of 'Choo choo choo, Graham Alexander'. He revealed how it was great to have a song that was actually sung for him. Once everyone had settled down, Grezza handed over the tickets to Jessica making her the most popular person in school for that day and then it was time for some photographs.

After the photos there was time for some questions where Graham revealed that he hoped to play at Preston North End until the end of his career and the best game he played in was the Scotland versus France match where he managed to get Thierry Henry's shirt!
There was just time for some autographs for the class before it was time for everyone to leave and the pupils to get back to their studies. As Graham handed over his shirts to the couple from Scotland there was just one question remaining, what does 'wha's like us' next to Graham's picture in the programme mean?
Apparently, this is a saying used in Scotland by Rob and Margaret when having a drink that means 'you're one of us'.
Thanks go to Rob and Margaret Cooke for their sponsorship of Graham, to Jessica and the staff and pupils at Longridge High School who made everyone feel so welcome and to Grezza for taking the time out to visit the school.
New signings Seyfo Soley, Pavel Pergl and Michael Ricketts, as well as centre half Kelvin Wilson are all still available for sponsorship - call 01772 693311 for more information.
