Tom And Lawro Back Membership Scheme
MyPNE membership card holders will start to make some great savings from Saturday onwards and all other fans are urged to purchase their cards well in advance of the game.
For just a nominal fee of £1 adult supporters can make significant savings on match tickets throughout the season and juniors cards are free. Having been involved at the recent unveiling of the PNE branded Preston Bus, both Sir Tom and former PNE defender and BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson were given a run through of what the new membership scheme is all about and see it as a great new venture for Club and fans alike.
The membership cards will help the Club to offer fans an improved level of customer service as ultimately transaction times are expected to be quicker. Supporters need to simply hand over their mypne membership card in the ticket office and shop and all their purchases will be recorded against their unique account at the Club. This allows the Club to reward supporters based on their spend and ultimately help to grow the PNE fanbase to increase attendance figures and attract new generations of North End fans.
Having spoken of the need for fans to keep turning up at Deepdale and backing the manager and the team, Sir Tom agreed that the new card scheme can only help.
"Anything that is this beneficial for supporters has to be a worthwhile venture. The cards will help make the fans feel part of the Club and it's so important for us to connect with supporters and encourage more to attend".
Supporters are reminded that unless they purchase an official membership card, and are therefore registered as a cardholder, they will not be eligible for cardholder ticket prices (from the Sheffield Wednesday game onwards), discounts on products in the Club shop, match travel and other promotions including offers from other national and local partners. Such promotions include discounts on JD Sports leisurewear ranges, free entry to cinema showings for juniors at local Odeon cinemas and meal deal offers at participating McDonalds Restaurant in Preston.*
According to Lawro this highlights the value for money PNE fans are getting by joining the scheme.
"For such a nominal joining fee it's really a win-win situation for fans with all the benefits they get. To offer value for money, not only with discounts with local partners but off match tickets and merchandise is really giving supporters something back. In today's game Club's have to offer fans more than just a seat at a match to be able to compete off the pitch as well as on it".
Season ticket holders should now have received their free cards by post. All other supporters can purchase their cards for a nominal fee of just £1 from either the ticket office or Club shop. If any season ticket holders have not yet received their cards or the card they received contains erroneous content they must contact the ticket office or call in with their card as soon as possible. We will then check your details and make any amendments before issuing a replacement.
All juniors, YNE's and Mini Whites' members will receive a free card. All juniors will need to provide parental consent signed application forms and Mini Whites should continue to use any existing card until their new card is issued. Application forms can be picked up from the ticket office and Club shop.
Preston North End fans who have yet to purchase and collect their MyPNE membership are being urged to avoid the queues on matchday and get them early.
Although the process of purchasing and registering your membership card is relatively simple, the Club are expecting the ticket office to be busy from 2.30pm onwards.
Fans can purchase their cards during the week at both the ticket office and the Club shop and also over the phone by calling 0870 442 1965/66. Postal applications will also be accepted with the forms available for collection at both the ticket office and Club shop. There is a small admin fee of 50 pence for all cards processed and sent by post. Once cards are issued there is a replacement charge in place of £5.
