Now it's your turn to prove that you've got what it takes to follow in those famous footsteps, as we seek players for our 'Deepdale Legends' match at the home of football on Sunday 27th April (kick-off 2pm).

Two winning bidders from our exciting online auction will earn the chance to play on the hallowed Deepdale turf in a challenge match between two teams made up of ardent PNE fanatics and a sprinkling of playing legends from years gone by.

This is your chance to experience what life's really like as a professional, from arriving through the players' entrance through to preparing in the plush changing rooms and eventually running out onto the pitch itself for a full 90-minute fixture.*

You'll be kitted out in official North End playing strip, and the game will be overseen by FA-qualified match officials for added authenticity before heading into the players' lounge for post-match presentations.

Additionally, the two winning bidders will receive a complimentary match programme and a pair of stand tickets to allow friends and family to witness their moment of glory. Additional tickets can be purchased in due course.

The auction for the number nine berth will run from Wednesday 16th April to Saturday 19th April at 8pm, with the top bidder earning the right to play for the 'home' team and the runner-up taking their place in the 'away' team.**

A percentage of the proceeds will aid the work of the Sir Tom Finney Foundation, which provides valuable community activities in and around the Preston area.
