Season Ticket Sales Soar
Preston North End look set to receive the backing of a sizeable Deepdale crowd next season after nearly trebling the number of season tickets sold in the first week of sales compared to the equivalent point last season.
The figure sold in anticipation of the 2008/09 season stands at 270% of the rate that had been sold at the end of the first week of trading for 2007/08 season tickets - a sign that the Club's faithful support is anticipating an exciting year for Alan Irvine's resurgent side.
Many supporters have also taken advantage of some of the new price incentives on offer this time round, including an extended senior citizen rate that includes all fans aged 60 and over, the introduction of concessionary prices in the premium area of the Sir Tom Finney Stand, and junior season tickets at an astonishing £69 each.
General manager Ben Rhodes was delighted with the box office response in week one, he said: "The response from the supporters so far has been nothing short of magnificent.
"We sold more in the first day than we did in almost a week last year and the sales have remained high throughout the rest of the week. We are very grateful for the financial commitment season ticket holders are making and we hope to continue to see the numbers rise over the next month."
Supporters are reminded that extended ticket office opening hours are currently in operation, including Sunday opening throughout the discounted pricing period.
The doors will be open from 9am-6pm weekdays, 9am-5pm on Saturdays, and 11am-4pm on Sundays. Please see our season ticket information page for full details of opening times, including Bank Holiday variations.
