PNE Target The Big 10k
PNE are targeting 10,000 season ticket holders for the first time after a big take up during the May/June discount period.
The Club has announced sales of more than 8,000 in the last four weeks, bringing in record season ticket receipts.
Speaking after the close of business on Saturday 7th June, when the initial discount period came to an end, chairman Derek Shaw said:
"The response has been excellent. At the end of our initial discount period last year we only just managed over 6,000 so we are very pleased and would like to thank everyone who has committed to a season ticket for 2008/09.
"There are still two months before the big kick-off, so we are not unrealistic in our hopes of attaining 10,000 season ticket holders for the first time and we will be contacting supporters who have not renewed to gauge the reasons for this and to try and invite them to rejoin us."
With the seats now installed in the new Invincibles Pavilion, the Club anticipates even more take up in the new stand.
"Sales have been steady in the Invincibles Pavilion, but as many will have seen with the seats finally going in the whole ground is starting to look first class and we're sure many more will be just as impressed and join us for the start of the campaign," added Shaw.
The Club usually goes on to sell a smaller, but nevertheless significant figure of tickets after each season's early-bird deadline and a similar result this year could see the total figure pushing towards 10,000.
Such a result before a ball has been kicked would be a huge boost to the Club and staff alike as the chairman continued:
"We hope to back the manager over the close season and improve on the playing squad further and come kick-off I'm sure there will be a great deal of anticipation in the air.
"I know for a fact that already Alan and the backroom staff can't wait to get going and stepping out at a completed Deepdale makes the 2008/09 campaign even more appealing."
Season tickets are now back on sale following a brief ticket office closure at the end of the discounted period. Despite an increase on the discount period pricing, supporters can still obtain some great value for money, with juniors from just £92, young adult tickets from just £175 and seniors from £295.
Families of one adult and two children can watch an entire season of football from within our new extended family area in the Alan Kelly Town End for just £580, and of course all season ticket holders can take advantage of over £100 worth of PNE-related discounts found within their booklets and all the benefits that come with being a registered MyPNE member, which is included as part of the season ticket package.
Contact the ticket office in person or via 0870 442 1966 to reserve your seat, or check out MyPNE.com to see which spaces are still available.
